We are looking for a Barman to join our 5 star hotel in an international group, located in the stunning Madeira Island!

What we need :

Knowledge in spirtis and the different beverages;
Certificate in F&B;
Experience in the hospitality market;
Foundness for customer service;
Upselling skills;
Understanding of the latest industry trends regarding beverages;
Organization skills, comunication and resilience;
Team work;
Desire and ability to train and develop staff;
Proficiency in speaking and writing in Portuguese & English, basic German, French is a plus

Main Responsibilities and Duties :

Monitors the ordering of all beer, spirits, bar tools and equipment;

Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents , costing and preparation methods;

Maintain stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality;

Ensure that appropriate stock / par level of all bar items is constantly maintained;

Utilize appropriate stemware / glassware as required by company standards;

Create and push the limits of what mixed drinks can be;

Use one's expert knowledge to create innovative drinks and cocktails that explore the boundaries of flavors;

Ensure a memorable customer experience;

Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times to always meet our guest's expectations.
