We’re looking for a data-driven, insights-focused Analytics Engineer to join our team and help transform raw data into actionable insights that drive smarter decisions for our clients using AI Agents.
About the Role
As an Analytics Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for new clients, helping them understand and optimize their data by designing analytical models in dbt (data build tool). You’ll play a critical role in building our application data stack, creating generalised business-focused reporting models and tuning our AI agents to handle repetitive tasks. At all times you’ll have a product mindset, thinking about how we can automate with AI agents and generalise client requirements into product features.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for new clients, understanding their data needs and challenges
- Translate client data into actionable insights by developing Python and SQL transformations for our datamarts using dlt and dbt
- Be a key contributor to the design and evolution of our data stack and product roadmap
- Build and maintain ERDs (Entity-Relationship Diagrams) and mapping documentation
- Translate source system schemas into business-focused reporting models
- Analyze and interpret data from various sources, uncovering connections and trends across sources and domains
- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights that support strategic decision-making
- Create detailed descriptions for master data files, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding for stakeholders
- Always looking for opportunities to automate and recommend improvements to our platform to reduce manual effort, train a team of AI agents to handle basic tasks
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or similar (Master’s degree is a plus)Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a solid understanding of data management practices in a professional settingStrong experience with dbt (data build tool) is essential; bonus for experience with DLT (data load tool) and dagsterExpert knowledge of SQL and Proficiency in PythonStrong knowledge of data warehouse design and experience developing and querying data warehouses is essentialExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex data setsStrong communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly and effectivelyOwnership mindset with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions independentlyNice to Have
