Senior Software Engineer Portugal at Ikigai Digital

Who are we?

At Ikigai Digital, we build and operate innovative digital banks. We focus on delivering reliable, cutting-edge financial services that make a real difference to clients and their customers.

What you’ll do :

Support clients in delivering impactful solutions
Define and improve engineering best practices
Mentor and empower engineers on your team
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance backend systems
Drive key non-functional requirements : performance, scalability, availability, security
Balance architecture constraints : cost, quality, risk, compliance, deadlines

What we need from you :

Strong experience in Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, Spring, Node.js

Proven track record building cloud-native applications

Deep knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture

Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Familiarity with delivering services in regulated environments

Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across distributed teams

Self-driven, proactive, able to set and meet goals independently
