Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview :

As a Senior Software Engineer at Intapp, you’ll work on an AI-powered, industry-specific cloud platform that transforms professional and financial services firms. Collaborating with senior engineers, technical leads, product managers, and designers, you’ll have ample mentorship opportunities for skills development and career progression. You’ll be part of an innovative team, enhancing existing software and developing new, contributing to core features and product innovation within established frameworks. This is a hybrid role that requires the successful candidate to be at the Lisbon office 2 to 3 days / week.

What you will do :

Lead or contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable features, enhancements, and bug fixes in our data platform.

Collaborate closely with product management to influence product direction, technical roadmaps, and prioritization.

Take ownership across the full SDLC, including back-end and (optionally) front-end components, with emphasis on code quality and operational stability.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering, cloud computing, and related fields.

What you will need :

Professional experience designing and building production-grade Java applications, ideally in a SaaS or microservices-based environment (typically 5+ years).

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset for identifying and addressing technical challenges.

Strong Core Java (data structures, multithreading, object-oriented design).

Experience building RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture.

Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.

Strong SQL and data modeling knowledge (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Solid testing experience, preferrably with JUnit, PowerMock / Mockito, BDD frameworks.

Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging systems.

Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure).

Experience with Git-based workflows and CI / CD tooling.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience.

Be fluent in English.

Familiarity with frontend development is a plus.
