We are looking for a passionate and driven DevOps Engineer to strengthen our team and play a key role in shaping the future of water and wastewater management. By building robust, scalable, and secure digital infrastructure, you’ll help us tackle global water challenges—because every drop counts!

Responsibilities

  • Build & Maintain Infrastructure : Design, implement, and manage cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure to support our digital platforms.
  • Automate & Optimize : Develop CI / CD pipelines, automate deployments, and ensure smooth software releases.
  • Monitor & Secure : Implement monitoring, logging, and security measures to guarantee platform stability and data protection.
  • Support Development Teams : Collaborate with developers to improve workflows and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Enhance Scalability : Ensure our infrastructure can scale efficiently as Waterleau expands its digital offerings.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends : Continuously explore new DevOps tools and best practices to keep our tech stack modern and efficient.

Competencies / skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or equivalent).
  • Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI / CD, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or equivalent).
  • Experience with monitoring & logging tools.
  • Security mindset : Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and vulnerability management.
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects and provide solutions to infrastructure challenges.
  • Passion for water conservation and sustainability—understanding that our work has a real impact.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to balance long-term stability with pragmatic solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a diverse, international environment with both in-office and remote colleagues.
  • Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.
