IT / OT Security Engineer

Our client is an international tech consulting company with +25 years of experience offering solutions to support companies' businesses and digital transformation.

This position is hybrid in Lisbon, Coimbra or Castelo Branco)

As a Technical Consultant in IT / OT Security, you will play a key role in supporting, guiding, and coordinating the deployment of the company's cybersecurity strategy across both IT and OT environments. You will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Key Missions :

• Provide expert advice and support to IT and OT teams on the secure design and implementation of network, system, and application architectures.

Recommend and evaluate new security technologies and countermeasures.

Main Responsibilities :

Identify and suggest technical enhancements to improve security posture.

Evaluate and recommend new cybersecurity tools and technologies.

Lead and oversee IT / OT security initiatives and day-to-day operations.

Monitor, manage, and respond to security incidents.

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification.

Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory) :

Understanding of IT Service Management practices (e.g., ITIL).

Certifications Preferred or Willingness to Obtain :

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)

GRID (GIAC Response and Industrial Defense)

GCIP (GIAC Critical Infrastructure Protection)
