We’re looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer with a strong technical background and a DevOps mindset to join an international IT team that supports critical data and infrastructure applications. This role involves working closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the application ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 / 3 support for business-critical applications and ensure quick resolution of production incidents.
- Coordinate and support infrastructure operations, including planned maintenance, server upgrades, and application deployments.
- Monitor system health using modern tools (Zabbix, Grafana, etc.) and proactively detect performance or capacity issues.
- Document technical procedures, system architecture, and support processes to ensure operational excellence.
- Automate recurring tasks and contribute to the improvement of support processes and application stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and participate in change management initiatives.
- Maintain and test infrastructure backup and restoration processes, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Technical Environment
Operating Systems : Strong knowledge in both Linux and Windows environments.Scripting Languages : Shell, Python, PowerShell.Application Servers : JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IIS.Databases : Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL.Tools : Zabbix, Grafana, VTOM (or equivalent scheduler).Infrastructure : LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos, Reverse Proxy, Firewall.Networking : Solid understanding of basic networking concepts.Ideal Profile
6+ years of experience in Application Support or Infrastructure roles.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Fluent in English (minimum B2 level).DevOps mindset with a proactive and collaborative attitude.Strong communication and documentation skills.Willingness to learn, adapt and evolve in a fast-paced, demanding environment.Team player with a hands-on approach and attention to detail.What will you find at SMART?
