Computer Vision Engineer

Ready to make a positive difference in healthcare? My client is a well-funded start-up at the forefront of medical device technology. They are looking to hire a Data Scientist to join their top-tier data science team in Porto (UPTEC Asprela).

They have patented diagnostic technology already making a difference to patients, and FDA approval is on the horizon. There has never been a better time to join their elite team of physicians, software engineers, and data scientists!

This is what your day to day will look like :

Leading the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models specifically for medical device applications

Translating complex technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders

Championing data compliance efforts (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, FDA regulations, ISO 13485, MDR / IVDR, and the Data Act)

Guiding the team in selecting appropriate methodologies, algorithms, and tools for diverse data science problems

Driving data science initiatives forward

Supporting the mission to revolutionize healthcare

If you have these technical skills, you will be a great fit :

Expertise in Google Cloud - Vertex AI, AI Platform, Cloud Storage, Dataflow

PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering or a similar field

Deep learning frameworks - TensorFlow and PyTorch

Infrastructure as code principles

Hands-on experience with MLOps pipelines and tools

Technical expertise aside, we are looking for you to be objective-focused. You will react well to rapidly changing priorities whilst never losing sight of the bigger picture.
