IT Lead Buyer - Software_Lisbon

Capgemini is seeking an experienced IT Lead Buyer - Software to join our Global Procurement team. This role will be instrumental in driving our software procurement strategy and optimizing our IT spend across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement global software sourcing strategies aligned with Capgemini's IT roadmap and business objectives
  • Lead complex negotiations with major software vendors and SaaS providers to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, Finance, and Legal departments, to ensure alignment on procurement decisions
  • Analyze market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and propose innovative sourcing solutions
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and processes
  • Utilize and optimize procurement tools and systems to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities

Required Technical Skills and Certifications :

  • In-depth knowledge of software licensing models, SaaS agreements, and IT contract management
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa)
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and financial modeling
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification is a plus

    • Desired Experience and Background :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; MBA is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in IT procurement, with a focus on software and SaaS
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations with major software vendors
  • Experience working in a global, matrix organization
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and emerging technologies
