We are now looking for a Technical Architect (Senior Consultant Level) willing to accept new challenges in our Closer team.

Technical Architect (Senior Consultant Level)

Location : Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid Work Model)

Department : Closer SW Factory – Software Engineering & Delivery

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join our team, responsible for leading software engineering projects and ensuring robust application architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development (Angular, Java, Oracle) and a deep understanding of modern software architecture principles.

Key Responsibilities

Application Architecture & Design
Define and oversee architectural standards for scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., microservices, cloud-native tools).

Full-Stack Development Guidance

Frontend : Angular, Bootstrap, HTML5 / CSS3, Thymeleaf.

Backend : Java / Spring Boot, Python, PL / SQL, Hibernate.

Data Layer : Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.

DevOps : Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts), Docker, CI / CD.

Technical Leadership

Mentor development teams, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and security (OAuth 2.0, OpenID).

Lead PoCs and advocate for modern frameworks (e.g., Kafka for event streaming, Kibana / Grafana for analytics).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with PMs, BAs, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Audit system performance (logging via SLF4J / Log4j) and optimize infrastructure (WebLogic, Tomcat, Linux).

Innovation & Trends

Stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., NoSQL, containerization) and drive adoption where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

5 years in software engineering with experience in architecture roles.

Expertise in :

Java ecosystem (Spring, Hibernate) and Angular .

RDBMS (Oracle, PL / SQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).

DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).

Strong knowledge of security protocols (OAuth 2.0), APIs (REST / JSON), and scalability patterns .

Familiarity with portal systems (Liferay, WordPress) and analytics (Power BI, Prometheus).

Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus).

Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
