Join the yellow team as our new Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)!

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support and enhance our internal and client-facing database environments, with a particular focus on Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Sybase platforms. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of data services that power our CV platform—both on-premise and in the cloud.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of hands-on database expertise, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills to proactively manage and optimize complex systems across multiple technologies.

Responsibilities :

Perform advanced performance tuning and optimization across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Sybase environments.
Deliver expert-level technical support to internal DBA teams and external client deployments.
Ensure high availability, security, and resilience of all production and non-production database systems.
Continuously monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system and query-level performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to design scalable, efficient database architectures.
Participate in R&D initiatives by evaluating new database features and technologies for integration into the CV platform.
Lead database migrations, version upgrades, and patch management processes.
Establish and maintain robust documentation and best practice guidelines for database operations.

Requirements :

5+ years of experience as a professional DBA, with expert-level Oracle database administration.

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Sybase, and optionally MariaDB / MySQL.

Deep knowledge of SQL scripting, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.

Proven ability to conduct performance troubleshooting and root cause analysis in production environments.

Solid understanding of Linux / Unix systems and shell scripting.

Experience managing and supporting databases on cloud platforms, specifically Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, pgAdmin, etc.) and automation frameworks is a plus.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented, proactive mindset.

Preferred qualifications :

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certifications.

Experience working in agile / Scrum environments.

Ability to engage with clients directly and provide consultation-level support.

Important informations :

Hybrid work model : 2 days / week onsite at Spaces, Marquês de Pombal, Lisbon.
