We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Client's team on a hybrid working model from Lisbon.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with development teams to design scalable and efficient application architectures, considering available development tools, systems, procedures, and data security.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the organization’s platform architecture to facilitate rapid and reliable delivery of quality software.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
  • Stay up to date with and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve IT processes, tools, and platforms.
  • Report on the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management, recommending improvements to enhance these aspects.

Required Qualifications :

  • Proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises solutions for Linux and Windows.
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals : TCP / IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with virtualization and containers : VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Skilled in automation and scripting : PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions : Datto, on-premises and cloud backup solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including experience with security tools and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and training team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in agile processes and an understanding of DevOps practices.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota or shift work and travel to different office locations or client sites if required.
