Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately translate emails, bugs and project documents between Japanese and English to ensure clear communication with clients
  • Support direct communication with Japanese clients over call and chats, ensuring clarity and adherence to cultural expectations.
  • Assist leads and project managers by facilitating better understanding of Japanese business manners and language nuances.
  • Collaborate within Japanese support team to facilitate easy handovers and mutual assistance among team members.
  • Act as a cultural and language training resource for other team members.
  • Ensure that all communications and documents are appropriately tagged and archived for future reference.
  • Assist with language testing or translation tasks when necessary.

Requirements

What we're looking for?

  • Language Skills : Fluent in Japanese and English with experience in professional translation.
  • Cultural Knowledge : Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette, preferably with experience working in Japanese companies.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with attention to detail.
  • Team Collaboration : Ability to work effectively as part of a team, especially in a remote or virtual setting.
  • Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and email management systems.
  • Educational Background is a plus : Degree in languages, communication, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Applicants Requirements :

  • Candidates must have the Right To Work (Citizenship or a Working VISA) in Portugal.
