We are seeking a Senior Java professional willing to accept new challenges in our Closer team in a hybrid model in Lisbon.

This role is pivotal in designing and delivering high-quality software solutions for our Prime Brokerage (Cash & Synthetic) and Stock Loan & Borrowing (SLAB) businesses.

You will be part of a globally distributed team, collaborating with colleagues across key locations to build and enhance a suite of applications that drive our business and client-facing functionalities. The ideal candidate is an expert in modern Java development, passionate about microservices architecture, and committed to automated testing and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and modern development practices.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs, messaging systems (Kafka), and event-driven microservices.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through automated testing (JUnit), CI / CD pipelines, and monitoring.
• Work closely with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, design solutions, and deliver robust software.
• Collaborate in an Agile (Scrum) environment, using Jira and Confluence for project tracking.
• Contribute to containerized deployments (Docker / Kubernetes) and database solutions (Oracle).
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and advocate for best practices within the team.
