With a clear focus on customer excellence and commercial growth, they are seeking a Field Sales Manager to lead and develop the Off Trade sales field team and ensure best-in-class execution across the retail and wholesale landscape.
Description
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of Field Sales Representatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives and commercial KPIs.
- Set performance targets, track progress, and implement development plans to maximize individual and team potential.
- Guarantee flawless execution of commercial strategies at point-of-sale, ensuring product availability, visibility, and promotional compliance.
- Monitor implementation of planograms, promotional materials, and agreed customer activations across retail partners.
- Define visit plans and optimize coverage based on potential, customer segmentation, and strategic priorities.
- Ensure balanced workload and efficient territory management across the team.
- Build strong relationships with key customers at store and regional level to ensure alignment on execution and resolve operational challenges.
- Act as escalation point for priority clients and support the sales force in negotiations and sell-in.
- Monitor sales performance, distribution KPIs, and team activities using CRM and reporting tools.
- Analyze field data to identify opportunities, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure sales team is equipped with the right tools, stock, and messaging.
- Contribute to the design and rollout of national and regional campaigns by providing field insights.
- Organize training sessions to continuously improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and execution standards.
- Promote a culture of performance, accountability, and operational excellence within the team.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related fields.Minimum 5 years of experience in field sales or key account management, preferably within the FMCG industry.Proven experience managing field teams and delivering results in the Off Trade channel (modern / traditional retail).Strong leadership and people management skills, with ability to drive performance in a structured and motivating way.Excellent understanding of retail dynamics, customer expectations, and point-of-sale execution.Strong analytical mindset and proficiency with reporting / CRM tools.Fluent in Portuguese; English proficiency at intermediate level (B1 or higher).Valid driving license and availability to travel nationally.Eligible to work in Portugal (mandatory).Job Offer
