Software Engineer 2, QA

We’re looking for a Software Engineer 2, QA to join our MC Trade squad. As a member of the Research and Development team, the Software Engineer in Test will be primarily responsible for ensuring quality products are delivered to the organization. Along with assistance from senior software engineers in test, create an automation strategy for the Front-end and Backend applications. Build an automation framework suited for the team. Collaborate with other software engineers, product owners, and designers to understand business requirements, develop manual and automated test cases, and execute test scenarios to ensure high-quality code delivery. A good understanding of testing and automation skills is required. We use the best available technologies to deliver modern, engaging, reliable, and scalable experiences for our growing audience.

Your Impact

As a Software Engineer 2 at Personify, you will drive our MC Trade platform forward. MC Trade is a user-friendly platform for managing trade shows and events, with tools for booth management, exhibitor communication, lead retrieval, and analytics. You will support users in maximizing platform features and resolving issues.

Here’s how you will make a significant impact :

  • Understand business requirements by collaborating with product owners and designers.
  • Identify test scenarios, create functional test cases based on user stories and requirements, and execute them to verify software coverage.
  • Document defects with details, track, and verify their resolution.
  • Work with developers to ensure defects are resolved.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Build automation frameworks and end-to-end tests at scale.
  • Prioritize areas for efficiency gains through test automation and routinely execute automated tests.
  • Implement automated unit tests to verify logic, syntax, and accuracy of program results.
  • Drive QA best practices and process improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, product owners, and testers to deliver quality solutions.
  • Stay passionate about learning new technologies and enhancing software quality.
  • What You Bring

    We seek top QA professionals with the skills to excel in a dynamic environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Playwright, Selenium, Cypress.
  • 2+ years of experience in automated testing.
  • Experience testing web-based solutions (front-end and back-end).
  • Knowledge of databases (MongoDB, MySQL).
  • Understanding of QA terminology, methods, and tools.
  • Experience in performance / load testing.
  • Manual and automated test case creation and execution experience.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems (preferably JIRA).
  • Programming knowledge (preferred : .Net, Angular).
  • Understanding of SDLC.
  • Detail-oriented, project-focused, proactive, and passionate about quality.
  • Excellent communication skills.

    The pay range for this role is : 40,000 - 50,000 EUR per year (Remote Portugal).
