Are you looking for a change?

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with experience in Python to work in growing tech startup focused on self-understanding. You’ll be responsible for building the systems that power mobile experiences, from real-time communication to scalable services and APIs.

You’ll work side-by-side with our mobile team to bring features to life, and you’ll play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the backend architecture.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement scalable backend services using Python and modern frameworks
  • Lead the architecture of new features and evolve existing systems
  • Build efficient, optimized database schemas and queries with MySQL
  • Develop real-time features using WebSockets
  • Create and maintain production-grade RESTful APIs
  • Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for scalability and reliability
  • Champion security best practices and data protection standards
  • Work closely with the mobile team to ensure seamless integration
  • Conduct code reviews and uphold high quality standards

You Might Be a Fit If You Have

  • 5+ years of backend development experience with strong Python skills
  • Solid hands-on experience with GCP services and architecture
  • Deep knowledge of MySQL , performance tuning, and best practices
  • Experience designing and maintaining robust RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with WebSockets and real-time system design
  • Strong understanding of security principles and data protection
  • Experience with microservices and distributed systems
  • Proficiency with Git , CI / CD pipelines, and agile development
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
