Freelance Simultaneous Interpreters in Lisbon, Portugal

We are currently seeking qualified freelance simultaneous interpreters for a long-term assignment in the maritime sector . This opportunity involves both onsite and remote interpretation for high-level international meetings, based in Lisbon , Portugal, with occasional remote assignments. Languages of interest include English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, and Arabic.

Requirements :

• Proficiency in at least one of the following language pairs :
• French
• Portuguese
• Spanish
• Italian
• German
• Russian
• Arabic
• Minimum of three years’ experience in providing providing interpretation services since obtaining the diploma / qualification giving access to the profession
• Experience in providing simultaneous interpretation in English during at least five (5) high-level international meetings (e.g. EU institutions, IMO or similar meetings), with interpretation during the last three (3) years ; experience as liaison interpreter or company interpreter does not count
• Experience in at least two (2) virtual meetings in the last two (2) years providing simultaneous interpretation via virtual platforms
• Background in the maritime field is a strong plus.
