Bachelor's degree required. At least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of greenhouse and field crop production. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Technical Grower to join our team to work in our Test Plot located in Tocha - Coimbra. The Technical Grower will be responsible for ensuring the successful growth and development of crops in the Test Plot and managing the daily operations of the Test Plot.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the growth and health of crops in the Test Plot and manage pests and diseases effectively. Ensure timely irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and other necessary horticultural practices are carried out.
- Maintain detailed records of crop development and trial results.
- Manage daily operations of the Test Plot, including supervising workers and technicians.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement new testing initiatives
In addition to the functional responsibilities of the role, as a Driscoll’s people manager, you are responsible for the employee lifecycle, including :
