About the Role

At Marley Spoon, we’re looking for a talented Copywriter (DE / NL) to craft compelling, clear, and inspiring content that brings our brand to life across every customer touchpoint. This role is ideal for a skilled communicator with a passion for food, fluency in both German and Dutch, and a proven track record of producing engaging copy across channels—from email and social to packaging and press.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing and cross-functional teams to develop impactful messaging that supports seasonal campaigns, product launches, and our everyday storytelling—ensuring a consistent voice that resonates across diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to transform strategy into engaging copy across web, email, social, print, and paid channels.
  • Write, edit, and proofread content for seasonal campaigns, daily promotions, press releases, and product messaging across online and offline mediums.
  • Tailor content to suit format, audience, and platform—whether it's short-form social captions or long-form landing pages.
  • Partner with marketing, design, and digital teams to support product launches and promotional moments.
  • Maintain and evolve the internal copy style guide to ensure brand voice consistency across regions.
  • Present fresh copy concepts with strategic rationale to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while delivering top-tier creative output.
  • Infuse content with our brand’s love of food, cooking, and storytelling in a way that appeals to an international audience.

Your Profile

Must Have :

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a copywriter, content manager, or similar—ideally within a brand or campaign-driven environment.
  • Native-level fluency in both German and Dutch , with an exceptional command of written language.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Linguistics, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven ability to create content across channels including email, web, social, print, and SEO.
  • A knack for maintaining brand voice across markets, with excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong creative instincts paired with a collaborative mindset—comfortable working alongside designers, marketers, and product teams.
  • Excellent research skills and an ability to turn insights into audience-relevant messaging.
  • Organized, deadline-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple priorities.
  • Deep understanding of what drives engagement on different digital platforms.
  • Passion for food, cooking, or wellness-related content.
  • Nice to Have :

  • Experience working within the food, culinary, or hospitality industry.
  • Basic knowledge of nutrition or dietary terminology.
  • Ability to make complex food or wellness concepts easy to understand.
  • Location :

    Remote work from Portugal or Germany preferred.
