One of our companies is currently looking for an Engineering Manager (JavaScript / NodeJS / TypeScript) in Portugal .

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to lead small to mid-sized cross-functional teams responsible for delivering scalable SaaS products in the digital advertising space. This role combines leadership, technical guidance, and hands-on coding, focusing on NodeJS microservices and TypeScript-based applications. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams, ensure the quality and maintainability of code, and mentor engineers to help them thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape engineering culture, practices, and team success.

Accountabilities :

• Lead cross-functional teams in building robust backend and frontend features using NodeJS and TypeScript
• Stay 50% hands-on, contributing directly to codebase, reviews, and system design
• Mentor engineers through 1 : 1s, performance reviews, and ongoing technical coaching
• Work with leadership to shape long-term engineering vision and roadmap
• Oversee code quality, testing practices, and scalable architecture design
• Collaborate on hiring plans, recruitment, and onboarding of engineering talent
• Support incident response and coordinate solutions to production issues
