Job Description

The Assistant Electrician functions and responsibility shall include, but not be limited to :

• To assist the Chief Electrician in the planning and execution of maintenance and of the operational work within the electrical section.
• Familiarize himself / herself and comply with the all regulations and work procedures.
• To ensure that critical or special work is not undertaken without a Work Permit signed by the Chief Electrician.
• To execute assigned tasks in conformance with safe working procedures, as instructed.
• To keep all tools, equipment, workshop and stores in good order, keeping records and inventories of stores, and advising the Chief Electrician of necessary requirements.
• To advise the Chief Electrician of potential hazard, deficiencies and non-conformances observed and of completed jobs and outstanding details if any.
• To always use the correct PPE equipment provided.
