We are a leading BPO company specializing in the AI industry, dedicated to providing top-notch data labeling and content review services to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced accountant to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal.
Responsibilities
- Accounting and bookkeeping
- Prepare and record the accounting entries for European subsidiaries of the group on-time and accurately
- Manage intercompany transactions and cost reinvoicing between entities
- Reconcile all operating expenses with the companies and provide budget and deviation report to HQ
- Get an overall P&L of projects carried out locally and issue project health reports
- Tax compliance
- Process payroll and manage tax compliance for our European subsidiaries
- Keep the ledgers in full compliance with IFRS and local Gaap
- Expense Reconciliation
- Perform audits on travel and non-travel related expenses according to local tax laws and legal requirements and in line with company directives
- Ensure that any reimbursement has the support of documentation such as invoices, tickets, receipts etc.
- Performance management
- Monitor financial performance of Functions provide KPI analysis, prepare and comment on respective performance reports required by the country’s local management or Function Headquarters
Qualifications
Fluent in English, written and spoken (mandatory)Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecastingExperience of, at least, 2-3 years in Controlling rolesUniversity Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or similarExcellent knowledge of VAT implications for international companies in digital services segmentsStrong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS), and their application in preparing accurate financial statementsAbility to prepare for and coordinate audits
