WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop and enhance geospatial applications and services using technologies such as GeoServer, PostGIS, and Google BigQuery;
• Work with satellite imagery, remote sensing data, and other geospatial datasets to deliver actionable agricultural insights;
• Implement geospatial data processing workflows, including data ingestion, analysis, visualization, and reporting;
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, agronomists, and software teams to integrate GIS solutions into FarmersEdge products;
• Optimize spatial database performance, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of geospatial data.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience with geospatial databases (PostGIS) and GIS software (GeoServer,QGIS, ArcGIS); Experience handling and analyzing satellite imagery and remote sensing data; Familiarity with geospatial data standards, formats (GeoJSON, shapefiles, raster data formats), and coordinate reference systems; Strong skills in scripting and automation for geospatial data processing (Python preferred); Understanding of cloud platforms (especially GCP and AWS) for deploying scalable geospatial workflows; Upper-Intermediate English level.
