Our client is a Global retail chain that brings Scandinavian design and quality to the world through an extensive range of quality products for sleeping and living.
Continuing the global growth, and one of the primary tasks of the IT department is to support the continued expansion.
The java team is continually growing as well and as such we seek a technical strong leader for the team based in Lisbon.
As part of our Java team, you will be joining a team of around 90 people in the whole Java department. You will be responsible for the team in Lisbon (10-12 developers), make sure that their skillsets are continually sharpened, both technical and personal. Developers work closely with colleagues from other departments at our locations in Aarhus or Flensburg. You will participate in projects to ensure alignment with the current java solutions and to ensure planning of activities within the team. Working closely with team leaders from Java department, actively participating in application development, and ensuring adherence to set guidelines and architecture.
Currently we are moving into an event driven, headless, microservice architecture and expanding the platform to also support our store cash registers. You will take a big part in securing the completion and direction of this. We are making highly scalable software that powers the continued growth and you will play a key part in this.
