About the Client

We are supporting one of our clients, a

leading international financial institution

, in strengthening its technology operations. Acting as a global hub, these teams provide production and test environment support for large-scale, business-critical systems across the banking and trade finance domain.

The Role

As a

Technical Support Engineer (Environment Support)

, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of test environments and in supporting production incident management. You will collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to maintain system stability, resolve incidents efficiently, and drive continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for a mid-level professional with strong technical support expertise, good communication skills, and a solid appetite for financial systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain test environments, ensuring operational continuity.
  • Unblock batches, manage messages in queues, and execute SQL scripts when required.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts, developers, and QA teams to resolve issues.
  • Participate in technical incident management in production, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in environment management, CI / CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.

Key Skills & Experience

Must-have :

  • ~4 years' experience in
  • environment support / technical support engineering

  • Solid knowledge of
  • databases

    : Oracle, SQL views & scripts.

  • Strong experience in
  • CI / CD and DevSecOps tools

    (Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release).

  • Basic knowledge of
  • Java (back-end)

  • Experience in
  • incident management

  • English proficiency :
  • C1 (or strong B2)

    Nice-to-have :

  • Experience with
  • Control-M

  • Knowledge of
  • CFT

    and

    MQ Series

  • Familiarity with
  • FBTI

  • Additional experience with
  • XL Deploy / environment automation

  • Exposure to
  • banking and trade finance environments
