Senior QA Engineer (Front-End) – Long Term Contract (Remote, Portugal-based)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Front-End QA Engineer to join a long-term contract engagement on a high-impact web application. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of front-end features, working closely with development teams in an Agile environment.

This role requires strong experience in automated testing and front-end technologies, with the ability to work autonomously and contribute to continuous improvement. Occasional travel may be required (0–15%).

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for front-end applications.

Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure code quality and functional coverage.

Support CI / CD processes and integrate testing workflows with tools like Jenkins .

Report, track, and follow up on defects using JIRA or similar tools.

Contribute to improving testing processes, best practices, and quality standards.

Requirements

Solid experience in automated testing .

Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js .

Experience with Cypress and / or WebdriverIO .

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools ( Scrum / Kanban, JIRA ).

Experience with CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in e-commerce applications .

Knowledge of performance testing or front-end optimization.

Mentoring or leading QA practices in cross-functional teams.

Contract Details
