DevOps Engineer

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to join our Ascendon Platform Management & Security team. The PM&S team is responsible for creating and supporting AWS accounts, pipeline automation, Windows Active Directory domains, Email services, and Security tooling for the Ascendon organization. You will work with a dynamic team and be on the cutting edge of technology.

Responsibilities:

• Support AWS Cloud Infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Support Windows infrastructure, including Active Directory & PKI
• Interface with users at all levels for support, including developers, administrators, engineers, DBAs, etc.
• Create scripts, tools, frameworks, metrics, processes, and documentation to support platform operations
• Handle customer change requests and problem tickets
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Support implementation and administration of security policies and technologies
• Improve security audit and compliance tasks, including alert tuning and log collection
• Coordinate and communicate with project leaders, team members, and executives
• Mentor junior staff members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 2+ years of AWS or equivalent cloud experience
• 3-5 years of experience in security or IT fields
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with Windows and Linux administration
• Knowledge of Cloud Security models and best practices
• Willingness to undergo screening for NATO SECRET security clearance or hold existing clearance
• Preferred: scripting skills for automation support
