Why this role?

As a Senior Software Engineer at Snyk, you will play a significant role in shaping our Snyk API and Web Product. You will drive consensus with other engineers to build foundational infrastructure at scale, and work with others to ensure it is used broadly and consistently.

What You’ll Do

• Analyse requirements, specifications, and technical design documents in preparation for development.
• Develop backend components that support new or existing features.
• Work with the different teams to discuss and implement technical solutions, and fix and identify bugs.
• Implement tests for any developed code.
• Review and test teammate's code.

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
• Strong experience with Python or Go.
• Strong commitment to code quality, and the value of giving and receiving feedback through code reviews.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, and respond with agility when requirements and priorities change.
• An ability to lift the performance of a team through coaching and mentoring of more junior engineers.
• Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.

• Enjoy talking with customers to identify, prioritise and solve problems iteratively and build something that they really love.
• Feed off complex technical problems and find solutions where others see roadblocks.
