Strategy & Development Manager

Details – Hospitality, Sports, Leisure is the platform responsible for managing the Hospitality, Sports, and Leisure areas of Arrow Global in Portugal. It oversees the management of major hotel units located in Vilamoura, Carvoeiro, Lagos, Albufeira, Aroeira, and Madeira, as well as golf courses and equestrian centers.

The Manager will work in the Strategy & Development team, performing Asset Management & Performance Optimization of assets, coordinating market research, providing in-depth financial analysis and strategic recommendations across main business areas to support the company’s growth and Group’s investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed financial models to assess investments and capital expenditures.
• Analyze asset-level performance to identify value-creation, cost-saving, and capital investment opportunities.
• Monitor and improve the performance of owned and managed assets in collaboration with asset and corporate teams.
• Track investment performance, ensuring strategic alignment, and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
• Lead preparation of asset-level and consolidated P&L, and benchmark KPIs (ADR, Green Fees, RevPOR, GOP, EBITDA, flow-through).
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support senior leadership decision-making.
• Evaluate new projects, management contracts, acquisitions, and joint venture opportunities across hospitality and sports/leisure assets.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis, market trends, and competitive insights.
• Prepare executive presentations and reports summarizing key investment opportunities and strategies.
• Benchmark competitors and identify industry trends affecting growth strategy.
• Lead market research to assess risks and opportunities in hospitality, real estate, and leisure sectors.
• Analyze macroeconomic factors and regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions.
• Work with operations, finance, sales, and marketing teams to align investment and operational strategies.
• Coordinate with group companies like Norfin and Restart to assess investment opportunities.
• Support the growth and capability-building of the asset management team.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
• 5-7 years in consulting, private equity, investment, or asset management, preferably in hospitality or real estate.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of hospitality, real estate, and leisure assets.
• Excellent analytical and commercial skills.
• Effective stakeholder and project management abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI and AI tools are a plus.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages are a plus.
