Part-Time Financial Controller

Location: Cascais Portugal (Remote with 1 day in office)

RINeST is a bespoke renovation and design company operating in Cascais and Lisbon. We specialize in transforming spaces with a personal touch and are looking for a dedicated financial controller to join our growing team.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a part-time financial controller who will initially work part-time and may transition into a full-time role. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly proficient in Excel, and fluent in English. This person must have experience in working in SME (Small Medium Enterprise) and be certified in Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping and ensure accurate financial records;
• Handle VAT return submissions (liaise directly with our external accountant) - chase invoices and upload invoices to our Revolut account;
• Support our external accountant with payroll and human resources tasks;
• Prepare and manage business budget: distinguishing between overheads, fixed costs, and variable expenses;
• Develop future cash flow projections based on client contracts (extract from contracts payment terms);
• Apply interest on delayed payments and chase clients (phone / emails) for payments - payment collections and supplier payments through Revolut;
• Ensure all financial activities are conducted with a precise and high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Excel and strong financial analysis skills;
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
• Computer, laptop, mobile, adobe / PDF, printing, word - proven Experience in bookkeeping, budget preparation, and cash flow management;
• Ability to work independently from home with occasional in-office presence in Cascais;
• Familiarity with Revolut for business transactions is a plus.
