If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join OutSystems as a Senior UXUI Designer.

As a Senior UXUI Designer working in the design System team, you will play a crucial role in evolving and maintaining the design language and component library that powers the OutSystems platform. You'll collaborate closely with product designers, UX Researchers, engineers, and product managers to ensure our design system is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, accessible, and scalable. Your contributions will directly impact the experience of developers worldwide, enabling them to build innovative applications with speed and efficiency.

In this role, you will:

• Contribute to the evolution of the Design System: Help define and expand our core design principles, patterns, and components based on user needs, technical constraints, and platform strategy.

• Design and document UI components and patterns: Create high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and detailed specifications for new and existing components, ensuring clarity and ease of implementation for engineering teams.

• Maintain and govern design consistency: Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to product teams to ensure adherence to the Design System and promote a unified user experience across the OutSystems platform.

• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product designers, front-end engineers, product managers, and accessibility experts throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Advocate for the user: Bring user-centered design principles to the forefront, ensuring that the design system empowers developers to create intuitive and effective user interfaces.

• Contribute to design system documentation and education: Help create and maintain comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and educational resources to facilitate the adoption and understanding of the Design System.

• Stay current with industry trends: Continuously research and explore emerging UXUI trends, technologies, and best practices to inform the evolution of the design system.

• Mentor and support junior designers: Share your knowledge and experience to help grow the design capabilities within the broader OutSystems design team.

What we're looking for:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Proven experience as a UXUI designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on complex use cases.

• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.

• High proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard design tools.

• Experience working with or contributing to design systems.

• Deep understanding of component-based design, system thinking, user testing and documentation.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively.

• Understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and others) and their impact on design feasibility is a plus.

• Experience with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.

• A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
