Our client is a fast-growing startup building a B2B SaaS platform with a mission to help companies reduce emissions and accelerate their sustainability journey. Backed by strong investors and trusted by well-known enterprise customers, they are scaling their platform team to ensure reliability, security, and resilience at scale.

Position description

Tech Stack

  • Kubernetes (self-hosted, RKE2) with Canal & Wireguard.
  • GitOps : ArgoCD (Flux / Kustomize experience also relevant).
  • Observability : Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Loki.
  • Security & Compliance : Kubescape, Falco, Trivy / Grype, SoPS.
  • IaC : Terraform, Ansible.
  • CI / CD : GitHub Actions, ArgoCD.
  • Scripting : Bash + Ruby / Go / Python.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of self-managed Kubernetes clusters (RKE2).
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure, even under hardware or system failures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and the CTO to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement security best practices across infrastructure, including RBAC, secrets management, and admission policies.
  • Establish and refine team workflows for operations, development, and security.
  • Build observability pipelines with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, and Loki, including meaningful SLOs and error budgets.
  • Manage infrastructure through IaC (Terraform) and day-2 operations with Ansible.
  • Contribute to CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and automation workflows.
  • Script and automate using Bash and one of Ruby / Go / Python.

    • Requirements :

  • Based in the EU (CET ±3) with a valid work permit (excludes candidates from conflict zones).
  • 5+ years in DevOps / SRE / Platform roles, with at least 3+ years running Kubernetes in production (self-hosted, not only managed cloud).
  • Strong networking knowledge and GitOps practices.
  • Solid IaC experience with Terraform and config management with Ansible.
  • Strong security fundamentals : RBAC, secrets management, image provenance, vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience with monitoring / alerting stacks and writing actionable SLOs.
  • Agile mindset and hands-on mentality.
  • Fluent English communication (German is a plus).
