By including everyone and ensuring equal opportunities we unleash our full potential. *Job Description* *Your contribution to something big : * We are looking for a *SW Monitoring / DevOps Engineer* with strong experience in the *implementation of user-facing monitoring systems and the creation of observability concepts*. This role will be responsible for designing and architecting end-to-end monitoring solutions that address the needs of internal customers and business stakeholders. * Lead the* implementation of user-facing monitoring systems* that provide real-time visibility into application health, performance, and reliability across digital platforms; * *Define and develop observability concepts*, including metrics strategies, logging standards, dashboards, and alerting principles aligned with business and internal customer needs; * *Architect end-to-end monitoring solutions* tailored to diverse internal stakeholders, ensuring scalability, robustness, and long-term maintainability; * Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to instrument applications and services, enabling high-quality telemetry and actionable insights; * *Support microservice-based and event-driven architectures* with strong observability practices, including distributed tracing and event monitoring; * Contribute hands-on to development tasks (Java, Python, or similar languages) when required for instrumentation, integration, or proof-of-concept activities. *Qualifications* *What distinguishes you : * *Education* * Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field. *Experience* * *3-5 years of experience* in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or similar technical roles; * Proven experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions such as* Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack*, or equivalent; * Experience working with microservice-based and event-driven architectures. *Know-how* * Strong understanding of metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting concepts; * Experience developing in *Java, Python, or other enterprise-level programming languages*; * Ability to translate business and stakeholder needs into scalable monitoring architectures. *Languages* * Very good English skills; *Working Style & Methods* * Strong collaboration skills and experience working in cross-functional teams; * Analytical and critical thinker with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset; * Comfortable working in dynamic, results-driven environments with multiple priorities. *Personality* * Autonomous, responsible, and committed to continuous improvement; * Clear communicator with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively. *Additional Information* *Work #LikeABosch includes : * ⚖ Flexible work conditions Hybrid work system Exchange with colleagues around the world Health insurance ⚕Medical office (psychology and general clinic) &Social Services Officeon site Training opportunities (p.e., technical training, foreign languages training) & certifications Opportunities for career progression and continuous professional development Access to great discounts in partnerships and Bosch products Sports and health related activities Great access to public transports Free transport from Porto Flexible benefits platform Free parking lot Canteen *Success stories don´t just happen.
