We offer the Portuguese National Curriculum from preschool through 4th grade and the Cambridge International Curriculum for grades 5 to 12. What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Arts Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator to inspire creativity, foster artistic expression, and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality arts education to primary students, integrating visual arts with other subjects and themes for Primary and some Middle School classes.
- Develop and implement a dynamic, student-centered curriculum aligned with the Portuguese National Curriculum and Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through active, inquiry-based, and project-based learning.
- Connect artistic concepts to real-world issues, sustainability, and cultural awareness.
- Promote the integration of technology and digital tools in the arts.
- Support students in interdisciplinary initiatives such as project weeks, exhibitions, and workshops.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and artistic growth.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Arts Education or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification and substantial experience in primary arts education.
- Experience with the Portuguese National Curriculum and/or international curricula.
- Strong classroom management and curriculum development skills.
- Familiarity with active, inquiry-based, and project-based learning methodologies.
- Ideally fluency in both English and Portuguese.
- Digital literacy and a willingness to integrate technology into arts teaching.
- The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students and families.
