About the Opportunity
Join an international team responsible for delivering enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions that support business growth, digital transformation and data excellence.
As a Business Analyst – Stibo STEP, you will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and IT professionals to improve product and master data processes, define governance standards, support integrations and translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Strong MDM background but no Stibo STEP experience? You may still be a fit.
We are also open to evaluating professionals who do not yet have direct hands-on experience with Stibo STEP, provided they have a strong technical foundation and solid professional experience in Master Data Management (MDM) and demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the Stibo STEP platform.
This means that experienced MDM professionals with transferable expertise from other enterprise data management environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with MDM/PIM data models, workflows and business rules.
- Configure and optimise Stibo STEP components according to business requirements.
- Support attribute management and Data Governance implementation.
- Define and maintain product and master data quality standards.
- Monitor, validate and improve data integrity.
- Collaborate with IT teams on integrations with ERP, e-commerce and other enterprise systems.
- Support API and ETL-based integration initiatives.
- Prepare test cases and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop user documentation and deliver training to business users.
- Identify opportunities to improve MDM/PIM processes and workflows.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise data management.
- For professionals joining from other MDM platforms, learn and progressively develop expertise in the Stibo STEP ecosystem.
Mandatory Requirements
⚠️ The requirements identified as mandatory are eliminatory. However, direct Stibo STEP experience is NOT mandatory when the candidate has a strong MDM background that meets the alternative profile described below.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in Business Analysis, MDM, PIM, Product Data Management or closely related enterprise data environments.
- Strong experience analysing complex business requirements and translating them into functional and/or system solutions.
- Solid understanding of enterprise data management processes.
MDM / Stibo STEP – Mandatory Technical Route
Candidates must meet at least one of the following two profiles:
Profile A – Stibo STEP Experience
- Professional hands-on experience with Stibo STEP, ideally including:Data ModelingWorkflow ConfigurationBusiness RulesProduct Information ManagementData Governance

OR
Profile B – Strong MDM Experience
- Solid professional knowledge and hands-on experience in Master Data Management (MDM).
- Strong technical foundation in enterprise master data concepts, processes and governance.
- Experience with data models, workflows, data quality and governance within an MDM environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new enterprise platforms and adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Willingness and ability to develop expertise in Stibo STEP.
👉 Candidates with strong MDM expertise should not be discouraged from applying simply because they have not previously worked with Stibo STEP. The ability to transfer solid MDM knowledge to the Stibo STEP platform will be considered.
Additional Mandatory Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and/or Product Information Management (PIM) concepts.
- Experience implementing or supporting Data Governance practices.
- Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
- Knowledge of data quality and data integrity principles.
- Experience supporting enterprise system integrations.
- Understanding of APIs and ETL processes.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
- Familiarity with XML and JSON.
- Experience with integration technologies or platforms such as MuleSoft, Talend, SAP CPI or similar.
- Fluent English.
- Currently based in Portugal.
- Availability for the hybrid model in Porto/Gaia, with approximately 3 to 4 days per month on-site.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who understands that successful enterprise data management goes beyond a specific technology.
You may already be an experienced Stibo STEP professional, or you may come from a strong MDM background and be ready to transfer that expertise to the Stibo STEP ecosystem.
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of master data, data models, workflows, governance, data quality and enterprise integrations and is comfortable working at the intersection of business and technology.
You are analytical and detail-oriented, but also adaptable. You can understand complex business needs, translate them into structured solutions and quickly become productive when introduced to new tools or platforms.
You should also be comfortable communicating with both technical and business stakeholders in an international environment.

- Do I have hands-on Stibo STEP experience OR a strong professional background in MDM that I can transfer to Stibo STEP?

- Do I understand enterprise integrations involving APIs, ETL and systems such as ERP or e-commerce platforms?
- Am I fluent in English, currently based in Portugal and available to work on-site in Porto/Gaia approximately 3 to 4 days per month?
