About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a software engineer who combines strong Golang development skills with hands-on experience in cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes ecosystems, microservices, and automation.

You will contribute to a unified cloud platform by developing backend services, APIs, Kubernetes components, and automation frameworks while participating in architectural discussions and technical design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services using Golang;
• Build cloud-native applications and microservices for Kubernetes-based environments;
• Develop REST APIs and platform services supporting a unified cloud platform;
• Contribute to Kubernetes operators, controllers, and automation frameworks;
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Cloud, DevOps, and SRE teams;
• Improve deployment, monitoring, and operational processes;
• Implement CI/CD best practices and automation pipelines;
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation;
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of developed services;
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions;
• Apply software engineering best practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and technical documentation;
• Work effectively within Agile/Scrum and geographically distributed teams.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience with Golang;
• Strong knowledge of REST API development;
• Experience with microservices architectures;
• Knowledge of software design patterns;
• Professional experience developing cloud-native applications;
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based environments;
• Experience with Docker and containerised applications;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices;
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows;
• Knowledge of automation and infrastructure automation practices;
• Understanding of Cloud Engineering and Platform Engineering concepts;
• Experience with distributed and scalable systems;
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher;
• Availability to work from the office twice a week in Lisbon, Porto, or Fundão.

The ideal candidate is a Golang Developer with strong software engineering foundations and practical experience building cloud-native, distributed, and scalable services.

You are comfortable working with Kubernetes, containers, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and automation. You can collaborate effectively with Platform Engineering, Cloud, DevOps, and SRE teams while remaining proactive and autonomous in your work.

You also bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication, and experience working in Agile, multicultural, and geographically distributed environments.
