Head of Product Management LIMS LIS Clinical Diagnostics
The Head of Product Management LIMS/LIS Clinical Diagnostics is accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle of the IT product LIMS/LIS Clinical Diagnostics Europe from strategy and roadmap definition through delivery adoption and continuous improvement. The product is the main target Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for our Clinical Diagnostics business in Europe as well as for other businesses worldwide.
This is a leadership role with responsibility for a team of up to six people including Product Owners Business Analysts Functional Analysts and other related profiles.
The role represents the voice of the business and its users balancing customer value technical feasibility compliance and cost efficiency.
The Head of Product Management works closely with business stakeholders and different IT roles such as IT Architects IT Developers IT Deployment Managers IT Operations Engineers and IT Quality Managers to ensure that the product delivers measurable value aligns with Eurofins strategy and is operated sustainably.
POSITION & OBJECTIVES:
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and maintain the product vision objectives and value proposition.
- Translate business strategy into a clear product roadmap.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture security and compliance requirements.
- Own product success metrics (value adoption satisfaction cost).
Stakeholder & Business Alignment
- Act as the single point of contact for the product.
- Collect analyze and prioritize business needs and user feedback.
- Facilitate decision-making between business IT and external partners.
- Communicate roadmap priorities and trade-offs transparently.
Team Leadership & Product Governance
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Product Owners Business Analysts Functional Analysts and related profiles.
- Provide direction coaching and support to ensure clear ownership and effective collaboration.
- Establish appropriate product governance decision-making processes and ways of working.
- Ensure consistency in product management practices across the team.
Backlog & Requirements Management
- Own and maintain the product backlog.
- Define and prioritize epics features and requirements based on value.
- Ensure requirements are clear testable and understood by delivery teams.
- Balance functional non-functional regulatory and operational needs.
- Identify and document the business value of IT requirements
- Arbitrate with business sponsors the need and value of IT requirement
Delivery & Execution
- Work closely with delivery teams (internal or external) to plan and deliver increments.
- Support sprint planning reviews and demos as needed.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and quality standards.
- Validate outcomes with stakeholders and users.
Lifecycle Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Manage the product across its full lifecycle (ideation delivery run retirement).
- Collaborate with support and operations to ensure stable and efficient run.
- Identify improvement opportunities based on usage data incidents and feedback.
- Drive continuous optimization of value cost and user experience.
Financial & Vendor Management
- Support forecasting and budget tracking for the product.
- Contribute to business cases and cost/benefit analyses.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers where applicable.
Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular status updates and product reporting to stakeholders.
- Prepare dashboards on value adoption delivery progress and risks.
- Lead or participate in Product Review / Steering meetings.
Qualifications :
Professional Experience
- Proven experience in a senior Product Management Head of Product Product Lead or similar role in a complex IT environment.
- Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams of up to six people including Product Owners Business Analysts and Functional Analysts.
- Strong understanding of software and IT product lifecycles from strategy and roadmap definition to delivery adoption and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders across Business IT and external vendors.
- Familiarity with agile and/or hybrid delivery models such as Scrum and SAFe.
Technical & Domain Knowledge
- A background in the TIC (Testing Inspection and Certification) industry and/or Healthcare is a plus.
- Experience with LIMS/LIS products or LIMS development is a plus.
- Broad understanding of IT systems applications integrations and data flows.
- Experience with ITSM and delivery tools (e.g. ServiceNow Jira Azure DevOps).
- Awareness of security data privacy compliance and regulatory constraints in enterprise IT.
