We are looking for a
Senior Insurance Accountant
based in Porto.
Our Accounting Department The Insurance Accounting department is responsible for insurance accounting data in multiple standards and ensures fair taxation.
Your Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day activity
Analysis and justification of accounts within a defined perimeter
Audit trail formalization and documentation
Ensure exchanges with contributors and stakeholders to obtain input
Perform analyses and report conclusions
Propose changes and monitor their implementation
Quarterly closing in local GAAP and IFRS
Review data quality
Analyses and control of different types of accountsVarious projects that animate management
What We’re Looking For
Degree in accounting, finance, or audit
Professional background of 6–10 years in an equivalent position (preferable)
Fluency in English (C1 level mandatory); fluency in French is a plus
Strong knowledge of consolidated insurance accounting
Previous experience with IFRS norms (ideally IFRS 17 and IFRS 9)
Familiarity with accounting tools (SAP, Oracle, CODA, …)
Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
