At Anchorage Digital, we are building the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions to participate in crypto. The Member of Accounting will play a critical role in daily and month‑end close activities across subsidiaries in multiple locations, maintaining the accuracy of our financial statements through in-depth accounting analysis.
Technical Skills
Perform daily, month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities for our consolidated US entity and other group entities
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in accordance with US GAAP, local GAAP (when applicable), and company policy
Analyse and process GL / AP / AR transactions, identifying issues and investigating/resolve them timely
Resolve a wide range of issues creatively, suggesting alternative approaches and adapting rapidly
Apply advanced skills in Google Sheets to work efficiently with large data sets
Support coordination of internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed
Complexity and Impact of Work
Work effectively under uncertainty and ambiguity to reach conclusions and move the business forward
Be accountable for accounting policies and procedures, reviewing material entries prior to finalising financial reporting
Partner closely with internal teams to facilitate a timely and efficient month‑end close process
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement effective controls to mitigate financial risk
Assist with ad‑hoc projects proactively, communicating impacts to other ongoing responsibilities
Organizational Knowledge
Understand the company’s strategy and various business lines
Engage with groups to understand historical transactions and requirements for implementing the global strategy forward
Collaborate across Finance and cross‑functional teams to develop plans for meeting business needs
Work on complex financial issues that require in‑depth knowledge of the company
Communication and Influence
Communicate complex issues clearly and credibly across a wide range of audiences
Build effective relationships and rapport with stakeholders, team members, managers, and external partners
Plan and execute cross‑team goals and projects, leveraging relationships and resources across functions to solve problems effectively
Contribute to shared company understanding by asking questions, solving problems publicly, and documenting solutions for others
Act as a go‑to point of contact for the area you are working in
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, and/or Audit
2+ years of experience in financial management, reporting, accounting and/or audit, including roles in GL, AP, or AR/revenue
Proficiency in accounting software
Advanced MS Excel / Google Sheets skills
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to multi‑task, thrive in ambiguity, and excel in a fast‑paced, evolving organization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all organization levels
Solid English language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
Prior experience on a Big 4 firm
CPA certification
Working knowledge of US GAAP including SOX compliance
Experience with tax compliance and other reporting requirements
Proficiency with NetSuite, Airbase, and similar systems
Experience on multinational companies and/or fast‑paced fintech environments
Knowledge of blockchain and crypto
