What Youll do:
-Analyze existing SAS queries and SAS Query Builder logic and translate them into optimized SQL and Python solutions;
- Review simplify and improve legacy logic rather than performing a direct migration;
- Partner with business data analysts to understand reporting and process requirements;
- Act as the technical bridge between business teams and engineering teams;
-Develop and optimize cloud-based data solutions on Azure Synapse;
- Ensure migrated workloads are cost-efficient by applying best practices for data access filtering and query optimization;
- Support the modernization of reporting and data processing capabilities within a cloud environment;
- Hybrid Work Model.
Who You Are:
-2-3 years of experience in Data Engineering Data Development or a similar role;
- Strong SQL and Python development skills including query performance optimization (mandatory);
-Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse and cloud data platforms (mandatory);
-Experience analyzing and improving existing data processes and codebases;
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge and simplify complex logic;
-Previous exposure to SAS Power BI or the Insurance/Financial Services sector is a plus;
-Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with stakeholders across business and technical teams;
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
