About the role

CloserHire is partnering with a global customer experience provider in Portugal to recruit a Japanese-speaking Content Moderator for a leading international social media platform focused on short-form video content. If youre detail-oriented adaptable and passionate about maintaining a safe online space this role offers you the chance to make a real impact while building an international career in Lisbon. As a Content Moderator you will play a critical part in protecting users and maintaining the integrity of one of the most popular video-sharing platforms.

Youll be responsible for reviewing user-generated content to ensure it complies with community standards and platform policies.

What you will do

• Reviewing videos images text and audio content
• Identifying and escalating content that violates platform guidelines
• Ensuring accurate classification and documentation of moderation decisions
• Handling user-generated reports appeals and feedback
• Collaborating with policy compliance and legal teams for complex cases
• Reporting content trends and contributing to the improvement of moderation processes
• Adhering to a 24/7 rotating shift schedule (including nights weekends holidays)

What we are looking for

• Fluency in Japanese (C2 level) and good command of English (B2 or higher)
• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a structured fast-paced environment
• Resilience and professionalism when handling sensitive material
• Willingness to keep up with frequent updates in policy and procedures
• Prior experience in content moderation customer service or social media is a plus

Salary

1059.32 with room (gross) 1262.33 without room
