About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about mobile core networks, international roaming, and solving complex telecommunications challenges?

We are looking for a Roaming Operations Engineer L2 to become the technical escalation point for international roaming operations, ensuring service stability and high availability across global mobile networks.

In this role, you will work closely with international operators, vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve critical incidents, improve operational processes, and support the evolution of next-generation roaming services, including LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 5G Roaming.

Working Hours & Shift Schedule

Please note that this position will temporarily require shift work.

Although there is currently no definitive date for the transition, this shift-based model is expected to remain in place for approximately 9 to 12 months.

During this period, the working schedule will be:

• Morning Shift: 06:00 – 14:00
• Afternoon Shift: 14:00 – 22:00
• Night Shift: 22:00 – 06:00

After this temporary period, the position is expected to transition to regular daytime working hours, from 08:00 to 17:00 (Spain time), complemented by an on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve complex incidents escalated from the L1 support team.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across Mobile Core and International Roaming platforms.
• Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate incident resolution with international operators, equipment vendors, and technology partners.
• Lead technical activities during major incidents and high-impact service disruptions.
• Support change implementations, maintenance windows, and operational validations.
• Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and post-incident reports.
• Mentor and support the technical development of L1 teams.
• Identify automation opportunities and operational improvements.
• Participate in network evolution and operational transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field is preferred. Candidates without a higher education degree may also be considered, provided they have relevant professional experience in the required area.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Mobile Core, Roaming Operations, Network Support, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Strong experience troubleshooting complex telecommunications environments.
• Professional communication skills in Spanish and English (minimum B2).
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
