MAIN TASKS

- Monitor and ensure the settlement of securities transactions and associated products. - Perform cash and securities position reconciliations between internal systems and local custodians. - Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to transactions, cash movements and securities positions. - Ensure that relevant reference and static data is accurate and up to date. - Follow up on pending or failed settlement operations and coordinate with relevant teams when required. - Maintain and update relevant documentation related to securities settlement processes. - Respond to operational queries and emails accurately and within agreed deadlines. - Support transaction and event-related accounting processes for securities within scope. - Identify opportunities to improve and automate repetitive operational processes. - Develop and implement automation solutions using tools such as Python, VBA and Power BI.

YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS

- Academic background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, Banking or a related field. - Previous experience or strong interest in Securities Operations, Settlement, Reconciliation, Trade Support, Middle/Back Office or Banking Operations. - Good understanding of financial markets and securities transactions. - Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate discrepancies and operational issues. - Good knowledge of Excel; VBA, Python and/or Power BI are considered a strong plus. - Interest in data analysis and process automation. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high volumes of financial data. - Good problem-solving and organizational skills. - Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively with different teams. - Fluent in English, both written and spoken. - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and international financial environment. - Hybrid position based in Lisbon.
