What the job actually involves Day to day you will be lead and manage O2C operations, including order management, billing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution. Review AR aging reports, implement strategies to reduce DSO (Days Sales, and outstanding), and drive collection efforts. Manage customer and internal relationships, resolve escalated disputes, and negotiate payment terms. Ensure compliance with Audit/SOX/internal controls, accounting standards, IFRS, and tax regulations. Drive process automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives to improve O2C workflows. Support month-end and quarter-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting to senior management. Mentor and train junior O2C specialists, fostering a high-performing team. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Logistics, Treasury, and Tax teams to align on financial processes. What you'll earn 1300€ gross x14 + 1.5K€ welcome bonus Portuguese contracts pay 14 salaries a year — your normal monthly salary plus a holiday and a Christmas salary. The annual figure is therefore well above monthly × 12, which is worth doing the maths on before you compare it to an offer at home. Who this suits English communication skills Excel and reporting skills. Fluency in German (C1) and strong Administration. 5–7 years of experience in O2C, AR, or Finance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role. In-depth knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls, and compliance frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday). Exposure to global business environments and multi-currency transactions. Leadership and mentoring abilities. Advanced Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Getting you there To help you make the move: accomodation for candidates outside of Portugal - Room in company apartment in Porto for 12 months for a fixed cost of 280EUR, deducted from salary. Inside, portugal - only available if candidates are coming directly from a competitor. Reimbursement of flight ticket on the 6th month of work, up to 400EUR.
