Senior AI Product Designer (Consumer apps)

We’re looking for an exceptional

AI Product Designer

to help design the next generation of consumer mobile products.

This is

not a traditional UI/UX role

where success means producing polished Figma screens and handing them off to engineering.

We want someone who can go from:

in days, not weeks.

You should be deeply comfortable designing consumer mobile experiences, but also be highly fluent with the new generation of AI tools that are changing how products are designed and built.

What You’ll Do We’re looking for an exceptional

to help design the next generation of consumer mobile products.

We want someone who can go from:

Idea → UX → prototype → real user test → iteration

in days, not weeks.

You should be deeply comfortable designing consumer mobile experiences, but also be highly fluent with the new generation of AI tools that are changing how products are designed and built.

What You’ll Do You’ll own product design across key parts of our consumer mobile experience, working closely with product, engineering, growth, and leadership.

You will:

Design intuitive, beautiful consumer mobile experiences from concept through production

Turn rough ideas into interactive prototypes extremely quickly

Use

Figma + AI coding/prototyping tools

to test ideas beyond static mockups

Build functional prototypes using tools like

Claude / Claude Code, Codex, Lovable, Cursor, Replit, or similar

Prototype real product behavior, interactions, animations, AI conversations, onboarding flows, and personalization

Work directly with engineers to ship high-quality experiences

Test prototypes with users before significant engineering resources are committed

Use AI throughout your workflow to dramatically increase the speed and quality of product iteration

Think through the underlying product problem—not just how the interface should look

Help determine what we should build , not simply design what someone else specifies

What We’re Looking For Strong consumer mobile product experience

You have designed products used by real consumers at meaningful scale.

You understand:

Mobile UX patterns

Onboarding and activation

Habit formation and retention

Subscription/paywall experiences

Personalization

Gamification

AI-native UX

Designing for speed, simplicity, and delight

Experience with consumer subscription apps, education, wellness, fitness, social, productivity, or other high-frequency consumer products is especially relevant.

You are AI-native Using AI should already be a fundamental part of how you work.

We expect you to be actively experimenting with tools such as:

Claude / Claude Code

OpenAI Codex

Lovable

Cursor

Replit

Figma AI

AI image/video generation tools

Emerging prototyping and agentic development tools

You don't need to be a production engineer.

But you

should be capable of building functional prototypes yourself .

If your workflow still looks like:

requirements → wireframes → Figma → developer handoff

you are probably not the right fit.

We are looking for someone whose workflow increasingly looks like:

problem → prototype → test → learn → iterate → ship

Strong product thinking The strongest candidates think like a designer

and

a product manager.

You should naturally ask:

What user problem are we solving?

Is this actually valuable?

What is the simplest version we can test?

What behavior are we trying to change?

How will we know if this worked?

Can we prototype this before engineering builds it?

What happens after the first session?

Why would someone come back tomorrow?

You should be comfortable challenging assumptions and proposing better product solutions rather than simply executing a brief.

Big Plus: Motion & Interaction Design Motion design experience is a major advantage.

We want our products to feel alive, especially as AI makes software increasingly conversational, personalized, and dynamic.

Principle

ProtoPie

Framer

Lottie

Advanced Figma prototyping

Native mobile animation patterns

Microinteractions and gesture design

You don't need to be a dedicated motion designer, but having strong instincts around

movement, interaction, and delight

will make you stand out.

You prototype ideas yourself rather than waiting for engineers

You understand that the best prototype isn't necessarily a Figma prototype—it might be something a user can actually interact with

You care about outcomes, not design deliverables

You have strong opinions but change your mind quickly when the data or user feedback says otherwise

You're excited about designing products where AI itself is a core part of the user experience

What We Don't Want This role is probably not a fit if:

Your primary strength is creating beautiful static screens

You rely on engineers for every functional prototype

You haven't meaningfully incorporated AI tools into your workflow

You prefer receiving detailed product requirements instead of helping define the product

You optimize primarily for design-process artifacts rather than shipped user outcomes

Being great at Figma is table stakes. It is not enough.

Ideal Background There is no single required background, but strong candidates will often have some combination of:

4+ years of product design experience

Significant consumer mobile app experience

Experience shipping products used by hundreds of thousands or millions of users

Strong visual/UI design skills

Experience designing AI-powered product experiences

Experience building working prototypes with AI coding tools

Product management or founder experience

Motion/interaction design experience

Experience working in a high-growth startup or product-led company

Portfolio

2–3 consumer mobile products you've designed

and explain specifically what you owned

A functional prototype you've built yourself , ideally using AI coding/prototyping tools

An example of how

AI has changed your product design workflow

Your portfolio

Your favorite consumer mobile product right now and one thing you would improve about it

We care much more about

what you've actually built and how you think

than your title, degree, or years of experience.
