Protect the financial system through compliance, risk oversight and innovation
The Compliance function is more than ensuring adherence to regulations. It is about protecting the Bank's integrity, supporting sustainable business growth and strengthening the framework that safeguards against financial crime and regulatory risk. We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Compliance Department and play a key role within the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) function, supporting the identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation of financial crime risks while contributing to the continuous enhancement of the Bank's compliance framework. You will act as a trusted compliance partner across multiple functions, providing specialist support on AML, sanctions, anti-corruption and fraud prevention matters, while helping ensure the effective implementation of regulatory requirements and operational controls. Your impact You will operate at the intersection of business, compliance and risk, contributing to: Monitoring and assessing regulatory developments relating to AML, Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), sanctions, anti-corruption and fraud prevention frameworks; Supporting the execution of periodic and ad hoc AML controls, ensuring the adequate collection, validation and maintenance of supporting documentation and evidence; Performing AML reviews of customers, counterparties, transactions and business relationships, identifying situations requiring further assessment or internal escalation; Supporting enhanced due diligence processes and ongoing monitoring activities across the Bank's customer base; Providing technical guidance to business and operational units on AML, sanctions and regulatory compliance requirements; Preparing internal and regulatory reporting, responses to supervisory authorities, auditors and other control functions; Coordinating and documenting AML governance activities, including the preparation of meetings, agendas, minutes and follow-up actions; Contributing to the continuous improvement and automation of AML processes through the use of innovative technologies and artificial intelligence solutions, including Microsoft Copilot and Power Automate; Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the Bank's financial crime prevention framework and support strategic compliance initiatives. What you bring Degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Audit, Information Systems or another relevant field; Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Financial Crime Prevention, Risk Management, or related functions, preferably within the financial sector; Good understanding of AML, CTF, sanctions and broader regulatory requirements applicable to financial institutions; Ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements and support their implementation through internal policies, procedures and controls; Experience in process analysis, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in automation or digital transformation projects; Interest in emerging technologies and artificial intelligence solutions applied to compliance and AML processes; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams; Fluency in English (mandatory); knowledge of Spanish will be considered an advantage; Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and attention to detail; Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities; High degree of autonomy, integrity, confidentiality and sense of responsibility.
