Supervise the preparation and posting of general ledger journal entries and ensure alignment with IFRS and internal accounting policies. Review and validate reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end close reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely preparation and submission of audit schedules and assist in responding to auditor inquiries. Identify and recommend improvements to financial systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls. Oversee team deliverables and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines. Guide and support team members within the general ledger team through coaching and review of their work. competências
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar. Experience in a similar role and ability to work independently and lead team members effectively. Chartered accountant registered at Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados (mandatory).Advance knowledge in financial software and systems, spreadsheet and data analysis tools (SAP and Excel preferred). English and Portuguese language skills in speaking and writing, further language skills desirable. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards. High level of accountability and accuracy. Steadfast communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
