Mission
The Hotel Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance and day-to-day management of YOTEL Porto, ensuring operational excellence, successful delivery of the brand promise and sustainable financial performance.
Leads the property leadership team, translating UHM business priorities and YOTEL brand standards into clear operational and commercial actions.
The role is accountable for driving revenue and profitability, operational efficiency, guest and employee satisfaction, talent development and strong relationships with ownership, UHM, YOTEL and other key stakeholders.
Responsabilites:
Operational Excellence
- Provide overall leadership to hotel operations, ensuring effective coordination across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering and all support functions.
- Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence and ensure consistent execution of YOTEL brand standards, UHM policies and operational procedures.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, service delivery and asset protection.
Guest Experience & Brand Delivery
- Drive a guest-centric culture and ensure consistent delivery of the YOTEL brand experience at every touchpoint.
- Ensure guest feedback and complaints are handled effectively, using insights to identify service improvement opportunities.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, online reputation and quality metrics, implementing clear action plans whenever performance falls below expectations.
People & Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop the hotel leadership team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
- Drive employee engagement, talent development and succession planning while ensuring an efficient organizational structure.
- Work closely with Human Resources to maintain appropriate staffing levels, productivity and continuous development across the hotel.
Business & Financial Performance
- Own the hotel’s overall business performance and P&L, ensuring achievement of budget, forecast and profitability targets.
- Monitor revenue, GOP, flow-through, payroll, productivity and key operational KPIs, taking timely corrective action when required.
- Partner with Finance, Revenue, Sales and Marketing to maximize topline performance while protecting the bottom line.
Commercial Leadership
- Actively contribute to the hotel’s commercial strategy together with Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management.
- Understand market dynamics, competitive positioning and demand generators, challenging and supporting commercial actions to maximize revenue and market share.
- Build relevant partnerships and identify new business opportunities that strengthen the hotel’s positioning and performance.
Stakeholder, Owner & Brand Relations
- Maintain strong and transparent relationships with ownership, UHM, YOTEL and other key stakeholders.
- Provide clear and timely communication on business performance, opportunities, risks and action plans, and represent the hotel appropriately with external partners and authorities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, health and safety requirements, company policies, brand standards and sustainability commitments.
