Tax Accountant

CALB (Europe) S.A is looking for an Tax Accountant to join our team in Lisbon.

Responsibilities: Tax Incentives & Government Grants:

Identify, assess and apply for available tax incentives during the factory construction and operation phases

Support the implementation and ongoing compliance of government grant projects.

Prepare and maintain all tax-related supporting documentation required for government incentive claims and audits.

Tax Planning & Business Support:

Provide tax advice for new business models, investments, financing structures and major commercial contracts.

Review business transactions from VAT, CIT and Stamp Duty perspectives.

Support transfer pricing, customs and international tax matters where applicable.

Tax Compliance & Risk Management:

Coordinate VAT, CIT, WHT and other tax compliance with external advisors.

Manage tax audits and communications with tax authorities.

Monitor tax risks and recommend practical solutions.

Tax Process Improvement

Establish and optimize tax processes for a greenfield manufacturing company.

Support SAP implementation and tax automation projects.

Build tax documentation and internal control procedures.

Requirements:

Between 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the Construction sector

Academic degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation

Construction or EPC Tax Knowledge

Good knowledge of Portuguese tax regulations.

Fluent Portuguese and professional English.

Experience with SAP is a plus.

Experience with government incentives or investment tax incentives is highly preferred.
